The quality of compassion or consideration for animals is a concern that is increasingly important in today’s world. On today’s edition of the Living The Wildlife Podcast with host and wildlife control consultant Stephen Vantassel, we explore the issue of the humaneness of wildlife control methods as we witness growing concern around the country about these issues. In Fact, more people are raising questions as to what the best way to manage wildlife control conflicts is.
Wildlife control operators need to have a rationale for the choices made when managing wildlife. The notion of using the same old methods of the past without reflection to see if there are better options is outdated mode of thinking. As our society moves towards a more animal welfare/rights view of animals, older traditional methods of wildlife control are being put into question.
