Tech Tip
Crawling in crawl space performing a bedbug job you need to protect yourself from taking home a pest or disease. I highly recommend TYVEK Extra Large Coverall with Hood and Boot $12.97 it’s a small price to pay for great protection.
In the News
People are not the only ones in danger of getting mosquito borne disease apparently horses in Texas are at great risk. Dr. Terry Hensley, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service veterinarian and Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory assistant agency director in College Station,
“Hensley advises horse owners to work with their veterinarians and vaccinate against the core diseases: West Nile virus, eastern equine encephalitis and western equine encephalitis. Hensley said the American Association of Equine Practitioners recommends vaccinating for these three diseases along with rabies and tetanus.“
“In 2015 Texas experienced a high number of West Nile cases in the western part of the state as well as the Panhandle and Gulf Coast regions. Cases of eastern equine encephalitis were reported in Southeast Texas, particularly in bayou areas where there are large amounts of standing water that can harbor mosquito populations.”
Maybe you can have a ride up clinic where you can get your shots like you do at pharmacies for flu vaccines. http://ipmsouth.com/2016/02/18/texas-horse-owners-encouraged-to-vaccinate-in-preventing-mosquito-borne-neurologic-diseases/

Integrate with QuickBooks mobile in real time.
It had to be cloud based no desktop or server required.
It had to work with QuickBooks classes for p&l reporting.
It had to be able to work without a traffic manager.
It had to be easy for techs to use in the field.
It had to manage multiple services to one work order and one invoice.
I proffered gps tracking and routing.
It had to work from multiple devices desktop, android, iphone and ipad.
The big brands like PestPac which is the industry’s leading pest control software is too big for the average small pest control company not mention it is the most expensive of all.
Required a fulltime traffic manager or it person and hundreds of hours of set up, training and manual conversion of customers to their platform and then importing numbers into quickbooks. Plus a long term contract. I could not get 1 of the requirements. This is great if you have multiple locations with many routes.
I have come with 4 good options for scheduling and routing
1 Intuit Field Service Management for QuickBooks it has all the requirements on my list at $35 per tech and $15 for contract module you are looking at $50 per month per user. It does not have a chemical tracking option. You can create 0 price line items for the chemical or as an inventory item used in quick books. http://quickbooks.corrigo.com/
2. Field ProMax work with QBO Although the Contract Management Portion is in Development and they are working on a Chemical Management portion $29 for 2 users that about $15 per user per month. http://fieldpromax.com/
3 Jobber $39 mo billed annually if not $ 59 mo by mo, plus $9 QB sync ePayments is $5 I does have chemical tracking. This one is the most expensive of them all. https://getjobber.com/
4. Gorilla Desk is a great piece of software it does not integrate with quickbooks but it does have chemical tracking and great features. It has a free trial. http://gorilladesk.com/
