In a laboratory test paraffin oil, 18 essential oils, 3 silicone oils, and were studied for their toxicities against bed bugs.
Silicone 1, 2, 3, and paraffin oil outperformed all essential oils tested while neem, basil, anis star, and peppermint performed the least.
